NAMME Announces Launch of Journal on Diversity in Healthcare, Call for Submissions

The National Association of Medical Minority Educators, Inc. (NAMME) is partnering with the School of Health Sciences at Winston-Salem State University and the North Carolina Alliance for Health Professions Diversity (NCAHPD) to launch the Journal of Best Practices in Health Professions Diversity: Research, Education, and Policy.

The mission of the journal is to serve as a forum for discussion on the development of diversity in health professions, and it will be published in the spring and fall. Experienced and emerging scholars are encouraged to submit articles related to diversifying the healthcare workforce.

As an organization that seeks to provide guidance and professional development for those dedicated to increasing diversity in the health professions, NAMME anticipates that this partnership will expand its message to a larger national audience. All dues-paying members of NAMME will receive two print copies of the journal annually and are eligible to submit articles.

NAMME is also seeking volunteer editorial board members, peer reviewers, and a director of marketing for the journal. Anyone interested in serving in any of these positions should send a letter of interest and their CV to Felicia Kenan at For more information on submission guidelines, visit
