INSIGHT Into Diversity has always given me a quick turn around and fair price for the advertisements we place with them. The Higher Education Recruitment Consortium (HERC) was founded in the spring of 2000 by colleges and universities in Northern California that were seeking ways to collaborate on addressing faculty and staff dual career and employment outreach challenges on their campuses. One of the regional HERCs primary functions is to maintain regional, web-based search engines that include listings for all job openings, both faculty and staff, at all member institutions. In the spring of 2007, HERC established a national organization to help support the mission and objectives of the regional HERCs. The mission of the National HERC is to facilitate national strategic initiatives that help the regional HERCs accomplish their goals and to promote HERC-wide visibility. The mission of the regional HERCs is to advance the efforts of their member institutions to recruit and retain outstanding and diverse faculty and staff and to assist dual career couples.
