T. Hudson-Jordan

Director, Global Diversity & Talent Strategies, Pitney Bowes, Inc.

In her current role, Ms. Hudson Jordan leads the company’s continuing efforts to promote a culture of inclusion, working with corporate and business unit leadership to implement strategies that support diversity and inclusion.   She works to ensure that diversity elements are designed and implemented in talent and business practices throughout PB.  To continue to demonstrate that PB is a company that values diversity Ms. Hudson Jordan establishes and maintains relationships with key individuals and external organizations.  

Prior to joining to Pitney Bowes, Ms. Hudson Jordan had responsibility for enterprise-wide diversity and inclusion efforts with Fortune 50 companies.  At Time Warner, Inc. she served as Vice President of Diversity and Multicultural Initiatives, where she worked with divisional and company leadership to create and implement strategies that fostered a culture of inclusion at Time Warner.  At Toyota where she worked for 11 years, she held several roles of increasing responsibility.  She served as the Corporate Diversity Director where she had responsibility for the coordination and management of diversity programs, policies and initiatives for Toyota’s North American operations including manufacturing, sales, financial services, research and development.  Successful coordination of Toyota’s enterprise-wide diversity initiatives led to recognition from longtime evaluators of corporate diversity such as Diversity Inc., Black Enterprise Magazine and Hispanic Magazine.

She also served as the Supplier Diversity Manager for Toyota Manufacturing, where she was responsible for the identification, development and growth of Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs) within the supply chain.  Under her direction, Toyota Manufacturing reached it’s highest levels of annual purchasing of over $ 1 billion from diverse suppliers.  From 2001 through 2004, Toyota Manufacturing’s purchasing with minority suppliers increased from $400 million to over $1 billion, representing a 150% increase in 3 short years.  During her tenure, Toyota Manufacturing received numerous awards.  In 2004 Toyota received the Minority Business Development Agency’s (MBDA) Distinguished Supplier Diversity Award and the National Minority Supplier Development Council’s (NMSDC) Corporation of the Year Award.  Toyota was the first non-domestic automaker to join the esteemed Billion Dollar Roundtable.  Before joining Toyota, she worked for General Motors as a controls engineer.

In 2007 she was named a 40 Under Forty Achiever by the Network Journal Magazine and one of the 100 Most Influential People In Corporate America by  DiversityBusiness.com.

Currently Ms. Hudson Jordan serves on the Executive Advisory Council of the Urban League’s Black Executive Exchange Program, the board of Insight into Diversity (formerly known as the Affirmative Action Registry) and is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., National Society of Black Engineers and the National Black MBA Association.  She also serves as an adjunct professor in Georgetown University’s Center for Continuing and Professional Education program.

A native of Chicago, Illinois, T. earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University, and an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati.
