New Guide Finds Diversity in Schools Beneficial to Society

Children who experience diversity in the classroom will be better prepared for college and the ever-changing global workforce, according to the National School Boards Association (NSBA), the College Board and the Education Counsel (EC). Members of the NSBA and EC explained why this is the case and unveiled a new guide for implementing diversity in American schools during a press conference on Sept. 7. NSBA officials believe that diversity is about more than just race, but rather, is about economic and cultural differences, hence the need for the guide.
