Despite Flaws, NCLR Says New Tax Legislation Will Help the Economy and Latino Workers

NCLR (National Council of La Raza), the largest national Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, noted on Dec. 17 that despite its flaws, the major tax legislation recently approved by the House of Representatives will help create jobs and directly benefit millions of unemployed and low-income workers and families. The package will now go to President Obama to be signed into law. “Despite its flaws, this legislation has direct, undeniable benefits for Latino workers and families,” said NCLR President and CEO Janet Murguía.
