 Throughout its 122-year history, the mission at Central State University in Wilberforce, OH has been to provide higher education access to African Americans. Bringing Asian students to campus hasn’t been a big priority — until now. In the latest effort by Ohio universities to grow diversity by luring international students to state campuses, Central State University’s top leadership traveled halfway around the world recently to strengthen ties with Shanghai, China’s Tongji University.
