Diversity Alive and Well at One Boston-Area College

A recent study showed that many Boston-area colleges lack diversity among their faculty and staff members, but Wheelock College is one exception. The 122-year-old institution has a tenured and tenure track faculty that is 23 percent black and Hispanic. Seeing that the United States is 28 percent black and Hispanic, Wheelock’s numbers more accurately reflect the national population.
