Cleveland School Board to Decide on Diversity Hiring Policy |
 The Cleveland County Board of Education is considering a personnel policy revision that would add language directing administrative staff to recruit and promote the hiring of diverse candidates. Superintendent Dr. Bruce Boyles said the school system's attorneys looked at the personnel policy and suggested the addition of one statement. The proposed policy addition is: "The board directs administrative staff to develop and implement strategies to recruit diverse applicants and to promote the hiring of staff members from diverse backgrounds."
